Among the significant moments noted, "Volga Germans settled in Kansas, establishing Catholic communities in Rush and Ellis counties," between 1874 and 1884; "The Cathedral of the Plains, named by 19th-century politician William Jennings Bryan, was dedicated at Victoria," on August 27, 1911.
