The Capuchin will be debuting a new series beginning Thursday, November 16th at 7 PM MT. Called "In the Hood," the new series will tackle crucial questions of Church and culture. The Capuchin Province of St. Conrad has steadily built a large, online audience through the web and social media. While series like "Good Morning, Good People," "Ask a Capuchin" and "A Simple Word" have been primarily inspirational and catechetical, speaking to an audience rooted in the faith, this new series will attempt to reach those on the fringes by tackling vital and relevant issues in contemporary culture.
Featuring co-hosts, Br. Mark Schenk, OFMCap., provincial minister of the Province of St. Conrad, and Fr. Christopher Gama, OFMCap., director of initial formation, the series will stream live on the third Thursday of every month. Due to the live nature of the program, those watching online will have the opportunity to interact in real-time and post questions for the hosts.
The debut episode, titled "Who has a beef with Thanksgiving?" will look at the current rejection by some of the traditional celebration of Thanksgiving in light of Cancel Culture and the Woke movement. To watch this new series, go to IN THE HOOD.
